Religious Literacy for Educators Week 2024
We were excited to once again take part in the Montgomery County Public Schools Religious Literacy for Educators course led by Mitchell Joy, a history and religion teacher at Walter Johnson High School. On Tuesday, July 9th, the educators visited the Gurdwara in Washington, DC. They learned about Sikhi, enjoyed Langar, and even got to try out a turban. Throughout the week, the class also visited a Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a Buddhist temple, a Mosque, a Zoroastrian Temple, and a Hindu Temple. See details of full schedule.
Kaur Foundation is proud to support this important course and the development of religious literacy for all teachers.
